where do I even begin? the pub noise was unbearable, making my relaxation a distant dream. and don’t get me started on my room's lack of an outside window, who thought that was okay? as someone who expects a warm welcome, a complimentary snack or upgrade would have been nice for all my troubles. tragically, it’s a lovely building, but getting anything else just woudl ve been too much to ask.

historic ambiance, unique room features, proximity to local attractions
Navigating the quirky layout felt like an obstacle course!!! Noise levels from the bar made it difficult to wind down after a long day!!! More clarity on menu descriptions would prevent dietary confusion!!!

Charming atmosphere with quirky character. The room had a lovely vintage touch and was always clean. Excellent breakfast with multiple choices. I enjoyed dining in the restaurant. the spacing between tables felt comfortable. Very good location close to attractions with free parking nearby. noise levels were high due to the bar activities during my stay, making it hard to relax initially. Room service took some persuasion to arrange despite prior confirmation, but the meal ended up being delicious. More clarity in menu descriptions for dietary needs would be beneficial.

This was a fitting option for a short visit in Abergavenny with fantastic value. I appreciated the large cups for in-room tea and coffee, which made mornings feel cozier. Bring earplugs if you prefer quiet nights.
